Call for Young Researchers: Mentorship Program ALFAn 2025-2026 “Pablo Melogno”
The Latin American Association of Analytic Philosophy (ALFAn) is pleased to announce the opening of the call for young researchers interested in participating in the ALFAn 2025-2026 “Pablo Melogno” Mentorship Program. This initiative aims to promote the academic development of young scholars in analytic philosophy in Latin America, providing them with the opportunity to receive personalized guidance and support from experienced academics in the region.
What does the program offer?
- Individualized mentorship: You will be guided by a mentor with extensive experience in your area of interest, who will support you in developing your research project.
- Expansion of your professional network: You will have the opportunity to connect with other young researchers and leading academics in analytic philosophy.
- Development of key skills: You will receive guidance to strengthen your research, academic writing, and presentation skills.
Who can apply?
Master’s and PhD students, recent PhD graduates, and advanced undergraduate students in philosophy who are developing a research project in analytic philosophy (with or without funding and/or official institutional affiliation).
How to apply?
Complete the application form before March 17, 2025. You will need to:
- Provide a brief description of your research project (200-500 words).
- Indicate your areas of interest within analytic philosophy.
- Select your mentor from the list available on the ALFAn website (LINK) and briefly justify your choice.
- Upload an academic CV.
Selection criteria:
- Academic background.
- The quality of the research project.
- Academic development potential.
- Diversity and inclusion (efforts will be made to ensure the participation of young researchers from different countries and academic backgrounds).
Schedule:
- Call for applications opens: February 17
- Application deadline: March 17
- Results announcement: March 31
- Program start: April
